Following ALL standard safety procedures is incredibly important to our company.
We do a daily jobsite inspection, which is documented. The safety staff of Ground Works Utilities does weekly job site inspections, as does National Grid, who is our primary customer. On top of that, a safety director from Ground Works Utilities, as well as from National Grid, monitors every job site.
We have a low worker compensation experience modification rating that is a direct result of a safe workplace and a successful safety program. A low experience modification rating simply means that we have a successful safety program with very few OSHA recordable incidents, thus rewarded by a lower insurance rate.
Our employees follow an incident reporting procedure that makes assistance and corrective action in emergencies nearly instantaneous.
To avoid traffic related safety issues, we maintain and protect the work zone through the use of dedicated personnel.
Due to the danger involved with the gas & electric industry we are held to a standard that most construction companies are not. Not only do we comply with all of the necessary regulations, our employees wear safety glasses 100% of the time, not just when OSHA says they need to have them on.
